My dear readers, I'm very happy today to introduce you the new Holly Backer's book, Decorate workshop. Paired with her previous book {Decorate, a giant success in 2011}, these two books are the new decoration bible {at least mine!}.
But let's start with order for the one of you that never read this column.
There is a recap page, with all the informations about the book where you can find also my vote. I express my vote with the number of the specs, from 1 to 5 {the vote it's just my personal opinion, I don't want to offend the writer/photographer/editor but just give to the readers my personal view}.

DECORATE WORKSHOP
what I like:
♦ this is the "natural" sequel of the previous book, and I like the fact that you can feel this connection;
♦ like the previous book, the pictures have been made by Debi Treloar and I can confirm what I said for this book: the images are bright and you can perceive the attention to the details and to the angles;
♦ the creative process is complete and the 8 chapters guide you every step of the way, from the inspiration to the "happy decorating";
♦ the personal approach of this book, like an informal chat with a friend {the same attitude that she shows writing on her blog};
♦ in every section you can find blank pages to "interact" with Holly. She asks you to answer on several questions, she gives you the tools to find your decoration way and she offers her experience;
♦ finally we can see the pictures of the lovely apartment that she shares with her husband in Hannover!
what I don't like:
♦ absolutely nothing! Maybe the fact that my house is not in this book!! {of course I'm joking, a girl can dream, right?}

Miei cari lettori, sono molto felice oggi di presentarvi il nuovo libro di Holly Backer, Decorate workshop. In coppia con il suo libro precedente {Decorate, che ha riscosso un successo enorme nel 2011}, questi due libri sono la nuova bibbia dell'interior styling {per lo meno per quanto mi riguarda!}.
Ma partiamo con ordine per quelli di voi che non hanno mai letto questa rubrica.
C'è una pagina iniziale di riepilogo con tutte le informazioni relative al libro in cui è possibile trovare anche il mio voto. Il mio voto è contrassegnato con il numero degli occhiali, da 1 a 5 {ribadisco che il voto è soggettivo, non voglio offendere lo scrittore/fotografo/editore, ma esprimere la mia opinione ai miei lettori).
Godetevi la recensione e come al solito vi invito a condividere con me e con gli altri lettori le vostre impressioni se anche voi avete acquistato il libro{e so che molti di voi lo hanno preso al volo!}.

quello che mi piace:
♦ questo è il seguito "naturale" del libro precedente, e mi piace il fatto che si può sentire questa connessione, lo trovo un valore aggiunto;
♦ come il libro precedente, le immagini sono state scattate da Debi Treloar e posso confermare quello che ho detto nella recensione di questo libro: le immagini sono luminose e si percepisce l'attenzione per i dettagli e per le inquadrature;
♦ il processo creativo è completo e gli 8 capitoli portano il lettore "per mano" in ogni fase del processo, dalla ricerca dell'ispirazione alla decorazione finale;
♦ l'approccio personale di questo libro, come una chiacchierata informale con un'amica {lo stesso atteggiamento che si percepisce leggendo le pagine del suo blog};
♦ in ogni sezione si possono trovare pagine vuote per "interagire" con Holly. Chiede di rispondere ad alcune domande, offre gli strumenti per trovare la giusta via da seguire e offre la sua infinita esperienza in materia;
♦ finalmente possiamo vedere le foto del delizioso appartamento che condivide con il marito ad Hannover!
quello che non mi piace:
♦ assolutamente nulla! Forse il fatto che la mia casa non è pubblicata in questo libro! {ovviamente sto scherzando, una ragazza può sognare, giusto?}
