Once again I decided to go for a crochet item, this lovely garland made by Ingrid from Wood & Wool Stool.
I bought it because, although I'm more than able to made it by myself, I think that every person has a different sensibilty and perspective when makes hand made items. And I like to have a unique piece that someone else has made for me.
What do you think about it? Do you buy things that you could make by yourself?

Come ho fatto l'anno scorso e l'anno prima ancora, ho deciso di farmi un "auto regalo di Natale".
Ancora una volta ho deciso di optare per un oggetto all'uncinetto, questa bellissima ghirlanda realizzata da Ingrid di Wood & Wool Stool.
Ho deciso di acquistarla perché, sebbene avessi potuto farmela da me, credo che ogni persona abbia una sensibilità e una prospettiva diversa, specialmente quando si tratta di oggetti fatti a mano. E mi piace avere un pezzo unico che qualcun altro ha appositamente realizzato per me.
Voi cosa ne pensate? Comprate anche voi delle cose che invece potreste realizzare da soli?

Hi Ilaria! Happy & creative 2013. The garland suits perfect in your bedroom I think :) Anyway it's a good habbit to give yourself handmade presents. When I just openend my Etsy shop I mostly bought something handmade when I sold something handmade, haha once a year is better :) Ciao and thanks!

Condivido appieno quello che con sagge parole ha scritto Katia...anche io amo lavorare all'uncinetto, ma conosco benissimo i fantastici lavori di Ingrid (come d'altro canto i tuoi!) e non nascondo che, nonostante sia in grado di replicarli, mi piacerebbe tanto possederne qualcuno...chissà, forse nel nuovo anno soddisferò questa mia voglia :)!!

No, lo abbiamo preso in una piccola fabbrica vicina ad Amsterdam. Anche per noi la scelta e' stata difficile, volevamo qualcosa di unico e solido..questo e' stato amore a prima vista!
